New industry, new buyer, new sales motion, new pricing model—this launch had it all.
I was the sole PMM driving the cross-functional effort to bring Envoy Connect to market, in partnership with Brookfield Properties, a leading global real estate operator and key Envoy investor.
The Problem

The typical Envoy Visitors use case was designed for a single company, not a property manager and multiple tenants with varying tech stacks and numerous employee directories.

Acquiring and retaining tenants had become more challenging than ever for landlords and property managers.

Properties often relied on-premise, rigid security software that required significant manual work to run.
The Solution

The MVP included role-based dashboards and curated workflows for security staff, front desk reception, and even remote reception.

Design a solution so seamless and intuitive that tenants can adopt quickly with minimal training.

Address the unique complexities of ground floor security, but using the clean, user-friendly interface of Envoy Visitors.
Addressing these challenges drastically increased Envoy’s TAM by enabling support for owner-operators of multi-tenant buildings.
Envoy Connect also introduced vast expansion opportunities for both existing and net new accounts.
Here’s why:
Every tenant in an Envoy Connect-powered building is automatically provisioned a free Envoy Visitors license and enrolled in lifecycle nurture programs. Getting in at the ground floor in these buildings literally invites the opportunity for exponential growth via tenant upsell, expansion, and advocacy.
In many cases, buildings already have existing Envoy customers occupying one or more suites or floors. This means built-in Envoy champions who can provide social proof of the benefits of Envoy Premium plans, with the added incentive of referral bonuses.
